Volunteer Requirements

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Saint Elizabeth Foundation and/or Journey Home Hospice. All volunteers are required to complete the following steps before their first shift:

Submit background paperwork

Vaccination record and a negative TB skin test or x-ray
COVID-19 vaccination record with a minimum of two doses
Vulnerable sector and criminal record check

Complete online palliative care and enhanced volunteer training

Complete online palliative care and enhanced volunteer training
All volunteer training is completed online at your own pace
Palliative care training consists of 13 modules
Enhanced training consists of 11 modules
Each module may take about an hour to complete
