Exciting New Chapter Unfolds for Saint Elizabeth Foundation at the Annual Hospice Palliative Care Ontario Conference

As the presenting sponsor of the annual Hospice Palliative Care Ontario Conference (HPCO), Saint Elizabeth Foundation, along with SE Health and Journey Home Hospice team members, had the honour of standing beside thousands of passionate care providers, advocates, and thought leaders across Ontario and beyond.

A very powerful moment of the conference came as our very own Nancy Lefebre introduced the keynote speaker Dr. Christopher Kerr; whose work is rooted in empathy, humanity, dignity, and transforming how we understand and view end-of-life care.

“Moments like these are not only inspiring—they ground us in the ‘why’ behind the work we do everyday,” said Kerr in his address.

The Foundation’s presence at the HPCO Conference was only the beginning of a very exciting new chapter…

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of our very own  Centre of Excellence for Health Equity and Specialized End-of-Life Care—this is more than a place or project. It is a monumental step forward in advancing inclusive, person-centered care for some of the most underserved and vulnerable populations across Canada.

“Dignity at the end of life should not be circumstantial—it should be a universal right,” said Lefebre in announcing the groundbreaking launch.

With the dedication of our teams, partners and generosity of our supporters, we are creating a future where every person, regardless of their circumstances have access to comfort, connection, and compassion in the final chapter of life.
